| The Packaging Aids Corp. / Audion Shelf Life Booster™ (SLB™), with its patented modified atmosphere process (gas flush), provides efficient and economical shelf life extension for your product. Since the SLB displaces virtually all of the atmosphere in the package with an inert gas or gas mixture, fewer or no preservatives are needed to extend the shelf life of the product. It can obtain a residual oxygen of less than 0.1% without the use of a vacuum pump! The SLB is a versatile machine utilizing quick change-over tray tooling. It can accommodate multi-compartment trays, multiple trays, or multiple cups per cycle (size dependent). It can seal most types of commercially available barrier films to any compatible tray or cup. Common to all SLB machines is an automatic film advance system. Film length can be set manually, or by use of a photocell for film with printed index marks. It can be set to produce either easy-peel or lock seals. The SLB also features an advanced PLC control system for simple operator interface, stainless steel construction for ease of cleaning, easy loading and unloading, and an energy efficient compact size. SLB1010 Series Manual Tray Sealer
The SLB 1010 Series Manual Tray Sealer is an ideal machine for start up or low volume packagers. The tray support table is manually operated, and the flushing sealing operations are fully automatic once the tray is moved into the seal position. The manual 1010 Series provides speeds of 6 to 8 cycles per minute, an output of up to 350 cycles/hr with gas and 500 cycles/hr without gas. The maximum tray dimensions are 11”L x 13.5”W x 5.5”H. SLB 1502 Series Rotary Tray Sealer
The SLB 1502 Series Rotary Tray Sealer provides more speed than the 1010 Series and is more economical than the 2100 Series. The rotary table is activated manually. The two tray loading positions allow the operator to remove sealed trays and load new trays on one side while the flush & seal processes are being carried out on the other side. An optional four position motorized rotary table is available to further increase production. The rotary 1502 Series provides speeds of 9 to 12 cycles per minute, an output of up to 700 cycles/hr with gas and 900 cycles/hr without gas.The maximum tray dimensions are 8.5”L x 11”W x 5.5”H. SLB 2100 Series Automatic Tray Sealer
The SLB 2100 Series Automatic Tray Sealer is a high speed, in line tray flush and seal system that operates at up to 14 to 16 cycles per minute, an output of up to 950 cycles/hr with gas and 1300 cycles/hr without gas.. A standard photocell detector automatically feeds trays into the flush and seal head after they are placed on the machine’s built in tray advance system. The trays may be loaded manually or with an optional infeed conveyor system. The sealed trays can be removed manually or by an optional takeaway conveyor. Other options that can be integrated include a scale for weighing, and a printer for printing bar codes, price, date, weight, etc. The maximum tray dimensions are 11”L x 13.5”W x 3.5”H.
